The agames think "Dembia" as a low breed as them but it is not in actuality.
The historical connection of Dembians to Eritrea is as follows......
Emperor Serse-Dengil, the great warrior of Amhara next to Menilik & Amde-Tsion the great stationed 70,000 Dembian warriors near Massawa Eritrea in 1556 AD. This was to fend off Turkish incursions through Massawa. These Dembian warriors were the best from all he had in his empire and they are Gonderes.
Serse-Dingil was fighting in four fronts at that time
1-The Adal Sultanet in Harar (comprising hararis, afaris and somalis which also includes muslim amharas of Shoa)
2-The Gallas in Gibe basin and Damot(present day Wollega)
3-The flashes and Qimants in North Western Gondar)
4-The Turks in Eritrea.
Serse-Dingil is probably the only restless amhara emperor who spent his whole life chasing his enemies and perhaps the least mentioned in Ethiopian history. His had so many lucks and setbacks fighting the Gallas. He was successful on quashing all other fronts including chasing the Turkish from all Eritrea with the exception of Massawa & environs.
It was these powerful Dembian gladiators that brought him Victories against the Turks. These 70,000 Dembians were permanently placed in Eritrea and melted in the society marrying and inter marrying there. Amharic names like Tadesse, Alganesh...etc in Eritrea traces its origins through these 70k dembian gladiators.
Eritrean track runner Zeresenay Tadesse can trace his ancestors in Dembia like so many others. Being called Dembian is an honor and Eritreans bravery may trace its origin to these powerful Dembian garrison and their offspring there

There is no way Sarsa Dengel army was 100% Dembean. It more likely consisted of all Amhara warriors from Gondar Gojjam Bet Amhara and shewa and also non amharas like mayas and other Christians. Even back then Dembia did not have 70,000 people the recruitable population in dembia was very small and below 5k

Agame Misrak you have no clue about Amharas Historical Population of Dembia
Dembia Population
2007 - 280,000
1994 - 191,000
1984 - 136,000
1974 - 110,000
1964 - 84,000
1954 - 67,000
And in 1500 - 1600 Dembias Population would have been 10,000 - 15,000 + Most of the population is made out of children and women un-able to fight that confirms that there is no way 70,000 Dembians fought for Sarsa Dengel.
Sarsa Dengel had to recruit other Amhara warriors from across Abysinnia to defend the kingdom of Abysinna

Well you may be right. But personally I disagree with Dembians being the only warriors of Sarsa Dengel He must have had Shewan Amharas Warriors that your are removing from History!.
You have forgot the part in the history books where it mentions that Sarsa Dengel was appointed by Shewan Amhara Commanders who reigned in Berara and Tegulet. That is how Ethiopian Kingdom was able to Campaign in Bizamo, Gambo (Welega), Enarea (Jimma), Dawaro (Arsi), and Harar

Sersa Dingil himself and many of his royals are Shewan amharas. Let's not forget that the seat of the kingdom moved from Shoa to Gondar due to extreme southerly pressures from Adal Sultanate and Oromo invasions. So no one is denying that. The Shoan line and Gondarian lines of dynasty split decades after Sersa Dingil when Oromos finished the invasion of Shoa, Bete-amhara (Wollo) and Gojjam.
You seem to lack the understanding of medieval Ethiopian history. I can see you even miss key components of events, dates and personalities. For instance, you don't seem to understand the war against Christian kingdom was raging from south, east and south east to the central by Oromos and Muslim sultanas of different dynasties. Please read before you comment. By the way, Dembians are also Amharans...seems to me you have an issue with them and you are an agame suspect.

We are not agames and are not dembians crap. We are just proud Eritreans who unlike you the agames and some Ethiopians lame excuses to associate yourselves with the proud Eritreans.

Misraq, stop being emotional, crazy, stupid and flip flopping when told the truth.
Remember you were anti every Eritrean of this form (including me) in the last 10 years.
Since 2018 you changed your stance and start to be nice to us the Eritreans while we never changed our view points when we go back and forth with the Ethiopians and agames members of this site. That is ERITREANISM at its best.
We don’t kiss any body’s behind on daily changing emotions of others. We respect any one who respects us and ours except them filthy agames.
The fact of the matter is that some of you have agames mentality…….Shermutnet behaviors.
So, agames and dembians are Ethiopians and either accept them as Ethiopians or put them in the gutter. Stop associating them with foreign people.
