The highlight of the summit is the closed door sessions African leaders are holding discussing the initiatives spearheaded by President Isaias Afewerki and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on how Africa can play a bigger role on the international stage by having a permanent seat at the UN Security Council. This is what has unnerved the Neo-colonial powers that are desperately trying to force the AU to parrot their talking points. There are new sheriffs in town! 8) 8) 8)
