An Egyptian diplomatic source told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that the UAE recently offered, in response to previous Egyptian demands, to provide financial support through a dollar deposit in the Central Bank of Egypt. He pointed out that the new shift in the UAE position comes in light of the threats and security difficulties that Abu Dhabi is recently facing.
The source revealed that, in addition to the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince expressing a preliminary approval to meet the Egyptian demand for an economic aid package, the UAE renewed its offer to mediate again and help reach a solution to the crisis of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, based on its great influence with the Ethiopian government.
The source indicated that there are recent Emirati efforts, after the Egyptian-Saudi rapprochement on the one hand, and the improvement in Egyptian-Qatari relations on the other hand, to restore relations with Cairo to their previous era in terms of unifying positions.

Al-Sisi’s visit, which was preceded by the visit of an Egyptian political and media delegation paid by the General Intelligence Service, to ease the atmosphere between the two countries, came amid Emirati promises to provide new financial support to Egypt, and to show good intentions, at a time when Abu Dhabi realizes the need for Cairo’s supportive stances on regional issues.
Sisi confirms Egypt's support for the UAE
Yesterday, during his meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, Sisi affirmed, "Egypt's condemnation of any terrorist act committed by the Houthi militia to target the security, stability and safety of the UAE and its citizens," according to a statement by the Egyptian presidency.
Al-Sisi stressed "Egypt's support for all the measures taken by the UAE to deal with any terrorist act targeting it, within the framework of Egypt's firm position in supporting the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates, and in light of the close link between Egyptian national security and the security of the Emirates."
El-Sisi added that Egypt "is keen to develop close bilateral cooperation and coordination, for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and the Arab nation, especially by intensifying the pace of bilateral meetings between senior officials of the two countries on a regular basis for active and mutual coordination towards the successive developments currently taking place in the Middle East, and strengthening Unity of ranks and joint Arab and Islamic action in facing various regional challenges.

For his part, bin Zayed stressed the "high appreciation of the strategic and pivotal role that Egypt plays under the leadership of Sisi, in protecting Arab national security and defending the issues of the Arab nation, and Egypt's tireless endeavors to establish security, stability and development in the region, based on the weight of its role, its centrality and its components." on the regional scene.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi praised what he described as "the comprehensive development renaissance that Egypt witnessed under the leadership of Sisi during the past years, which was reflected in providing an attractive climate for investment and strengthening the business environment."
Discussing bilateral relations and regional issues
For his part, the official spokesman for the Egyptian presidency, Ambassador Bassam Rady, said that during the meeting with Sisi and bin Zayed, various aspects of bilateral relations were discussed, as well as consultations regarding the latest issues of common interest on the regional arena, especially Libya and Yemen.
He pointed out that "it was agreed that the paths of political solutions are the basis for resolving these issues."
Radi explained that Sisi "stressed the constants of the Egyptian position towards settling regional crises, which is based primarily on undermining foreign interventions, combating violence and extremist and terrorist groups, and preserving national state institutions, with the aim of restoring security and stability in countries that suffer from these crises, and preventing them from being threatened." for regional security.
According to Radi, Sisi explained that "solidarity, unity of Arab ranks, and consistency of positions are among the most effective and effective ways to ward off external dangers from the Arab world as a whole."

Al-Sisi referred to "what the security of the Gulf states constitutes an extension of the Egyptian national security," stressing "not to allow it to be compromised, to effectively confront the threats it is exposed to, and to reject any practices that seek to destabilize."
For his part, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, according to Radi, indicated that "his country's position coincides with Egyptian efforts to settle various disputes in the region," stressing "the coherence of the common national security of both countries," and that Egypt "will always remain the pivotal partner of the UAE in the region."
The two sides affirmed that they "continue to work together to confront regional interference and attempts to sow division and division among the countries of the region, and to cooperate in confronting the risks and challenges facing the Arab region, foremost of which is terrorism and the countries that support it."
