TPLF is very bad organisation for Tigray people. they have given land that belonged to tigray to Amhara and Afar. This happened because they want to appease amhara and Afar so that they can stay in power. They gave land to Oromo. Historically the Oromo people lived in Arrusi. TPLF gave Oromos 1/3 of Ethiopian territory. This is done by Meles Zenawi so that he can stay in power. Amhara were given Qobo which is tigrayan territory. In Welqait, the amhara were administering the local government. There was even some Sudanese living in Wolqait.

We need to take historical facts into consideration. The Wolqait area has always been part of Tigray and Aksumite Kingdom. Places like Adi Goshu, Adi Arqai, Mai Tsebri etc are Tgrigna or Geez. They should be under Tigray because this strengthen Tigray and protects the population from Amharization, which leads to loss of history and culture of aksumite empire. The amhara are immigrants from Western Africa and to be honest do like West africans or other Africans . that is OK as it is their identitiy. However taking land from Tigray and gving it to amhara is wrong. The amhara can live in Tigray or any where in Ethiopia as long as they do not harm others.

What does Adi mean in amharic? Adi and Adey are similar but different. Adi means the place or country of, Adey means my country or my mother. For Tigrayans, Adey could be my mother or my country. In Amharic it is a bit different . Mother is " Enat" and country is "Ager" or "Hager" which is also in Tigrigna. To be honest, Wolqait is part of Tigray and has been part of Tigray from aksumite times. Menelik gave it to Taitu to weaken Tigrayan nobility which is right in the eyes of menelik. Tigrayan kings have been doing the same in Medival times.what do we do now? Give back to the people who owned it in the past. the problem of amhara controlling Wolqait and Tsegede is they are insenstive and act as Bantu Africans to ancient traditions of Aksum. They never mention Aksum, Ezana, Abraha etc whereas for Tigrayans it is natural. Tigrayans feel Ezana is still ruling Aksum. They take pride in Ezana, Aksum, Abraha, St. Yared etc.
