It is a shame that a country with a population of 500 thousand beats a country with a population of 110 million.
And this is the first time ever Ethiopia got qualified to play in AFCOM's over 60 years existence history with out hosting it as a freebie.
Granted that Ethiopia played with ten players almost the entire match, but still this is unacceptable result.
Now don't freaking jump on my case as if I am happy by the result. I actually was cheering for Ethiopia.
But constructive criticism is warranted here.
Loosing to Cape Verde just disqualifie Ethiopia to even have chance to go to the next round. It's next game is Thursday against Cameron which it will defineky lose and the last game is against Burkina Faso, and even though I believe Burkino will win it if they play like they play against Cameron, but even by miracle Ethiopia wins it, sadky it will be heading home being the first team to do so.
May be Ethiopia needs to hire me as the team's coach paying me, say like 10 million a year.
So my peaceful, friends Ethiopians see my observation as a constructive criticism.friction. sports allergic agames try to make it what it is not to creat friction.

That is to say : Cape Verde have made a lot of improvements in the last decade. ቀስ በቀስ እንቁላል በእግሩ ይሄዳል as it is said in Amharic. Ethiopia of course has to change it selection system. They should look for talents all over the country just like in athletics. May be one from the athletics people should move to soccer to do the selection. Their professional approach is world-class.'

Cape Verde is also home to Portugese International Nani.
