ኢምር ማለት እጅግ ወብ የሆነ ብርሃን ሲሆን ጸሃይ ሲወጣ፣ ሲነጋ ያለው ብርሃን ነው ። አንዳድ ግዜ ውብ የሆነ የኮከብ ብርሃን ኢምር ይባላል። ይህ ወንድ ወጣቶች ከሚጫወቱት የገና ጨዋታ (አንቃት) ጋር የተያያዘ ነው ! የኬር ገና ላገርኛ ዬኩን !! ኢትዮጵያ አሆኝ ዮም ኢምር ዬብራላ !!
