Amb. David Satterfield Will Replace Jeffrey Feltman As US Envoy to Ethiopia & Sudan

Satterfield may be assigned to fix the broken Ethio-US relations but he might have been chosen to put pressure on Turkey not only regarding drone sales but Turkey's activities in the Horn. In my view, Satterfield will not be any better than Feltman because America still views Ethiopian policy as integral part of the Middle East which is the core American error. Any American policy that views Ethiopia from Arab perspective, hence entangled with Egypt is bound to fail. We shall see. For now America admitted that Feltman has failed big time in Ethiopia & Sudan. Neither Feltman nor Satterfield are students of Ethiopia or Horn experts!

This is why I predicted similar failure for Satterfield.

Therefore, there will be hostile to Ethiopian but friendly to Egyptian groups.You can bet, if they cant win from Tplf, they will activate Olf. Just listen to Feta Daily news recently Oromia is now accusing Welega amharic speakers as the problem. It has began already
