IS AMERICA RELEVANT TO THE ETHIOPIAN AGENDA? DOES ETHIOPIA NEED AMERICA?

Post by Horus » 01 Jan 2022, 05:23

The simple and short answer is NO!

Why?

US is a master of Egypt and needs TPLF as servant. That is where US priority sits,

US does not want to see a united, strong and stable Ethiopian s

US is not interested in Ethiopian democracy, our understanding of freedom and justice. They are interested in imposing their version of reality on us.

US is opposed and is hostile to our effort of becoming self-sufficient, self-caring, self-helping and prospering. US want an Ethiopia that is a beggar and kneeling to wheat donations. I believe that this is the number #1 issue that Ethiopians have with American policy.

America, unlike its false propaganda about the environment does not want to see Ethiopia being Green and ecologically healthy. Of course, this is connected to American policy of keeping Africa poor and dependent . America does not like the Ethiopian free and proud culture.

So the question is who need who? Does Ethiopia need America? or Does America need Ethiopia?

Here is my guess. America needs Egypt & Ethiopia is second to Egypt! If this the case, US is the biggest loser. Egypt may be influential among Arabs but not in Africa. In fact there is now a question if in fact Egypt self-identified as Arab nation should even be in the African Union?

Does Ethiopia need America? No, we don't need America simply because America does not support our national purpose and our national agenda. USA is of no use to the New Ethiopia! We can easily withstand the stupid AGOA sanction and more. We trade with all sorts of other power on planet Earth.

On the contrary, it is America that dependent on the world for geography, power, diplomacy, support, to sell its stuff, extract resources, and lend its money.

The Ethiopian people and we the people alone are the makers of our history! HAPPY NEW YEAR ETHIOPIA !!!

Ethiopia needs all players in the globalized world for it's progress and America stands 1st in that list. The so called "self reliance " is a failed ideology and economic strategy . Tanzania, India, China and Eritrea are among those countries tried it and failed. The right strategy is to position yourself to be part of the global world and build certain distinctive competitive advantages that will enable you to compete and prosper in a sustainable manner( that is what China and India have done after the failure of their self reliance Ideology). If Africa is suffering it's is mainly due to the failure of Africans themselves and Africans must bench mark the developed world and change from inside-out rather than wasting thier time externalizing and blaming others. The " no more " campaign is based on lies not truth! The root cause of the war in Ethiopia is driven by a failed political process ( as summarized by President Obasanjo). That does not mean that foreign actors like Egypt, Eritrea and others are fuelling it. Once the root cause is addressed the foreign actors will not have the opportunity to manipulate. Big task for Abiy and other political actors in Ethiopia!
