I know Alamata and Korem are historical Amhara lands.. But I am not sure if MayChew belongs to Amhara or Agame. Can anyone please highlight me the historical border of Amhara and the tiny and least important killil Tigray from south/Raya side?

Maychew are essentially Endertan Tegarus with Raya Culture they participated in the looting of Amhara towns like Kobo Mersa Weldia. Thus Rayan Amharas hate May-chews and Wajerats a lot
They also pretend to be indigenous to amhara rayan towns such as Alamata, Korem, Chercher, Zata and Waja because they dress like rayans…. agames use maychew and wajerat to justify their “Abay Chigrai” expansion into the rest of raya rayuma

It is very clear that even after 30 years of occupation, the Raya people south of Mychew never want to do anything with Tigray. The carpetbaggers will soon be gone to their beloved region.
