Afaan Oromo Speaking New Ethiopia (Great Oromia) With Geo-Federation of 25 States is Loading!

If what is now circulating in social media that Abiy Ahmed and his regime are planning to change the existing ethnic pseudo-federation to civic geo-federation is true, then I would like to advise the PM to make sure that Afaan Oromo shall be the primary national and working language of the federation replacing Amharigna. In case Afaan Oromo is promoted to this legitimate primary position, then no problem in having the planned new geo-federation instead of ethno-federation. I would like to suggest that the following be the future member federal states:

1. Tigrai with capital ....... Meqele
2. Wolqait ........... Humera
3. Afar .............Semera
4. Agaw & Qimant .........Gondar
5. Begemidir .......... D/Tabor
6. Gojjam ....... B/ Dar
7. Wallo (including Raya and Kamise)......... Desse
8. North Shoa (Amhara part of Shoa) ..
.... D/Berihan
9. Sheger (Oromo part of Shoa) ..
... Adama
10. Wollaga ....... Naqamte
11. Ilu & Jimma ........ Jimma
12. Hararge (including Diredawa & Harari) ...... Harar
13. Arsi & Bale (Siko & Mando) ....... Robe
14. Borana & Guji .......... Negele
15. Gambella ........ Gambella
16. South west (Kaffa) ........ Bonga
17. Omo (Gamogofa) ....... Arbaminch
18. Sidama (including Gedeo)....... Hawasa
19. Wolaita ...... Sodo
20. South Shoa (including Gurage, Hadiya…etc) ..... Wachamo
21. Benishangul ........ Asosa
22. Ogaden .......... Gode
23. Isaa .......... Jigjiga
24. Gaarre ...... Liban
25. Finfinne

Working language of each state can be multiple based on the population represented there and should be determined by the respective state council. Such Ethiopia, where Afaan Oromo shall be the primary working language of all federal institutions like the palace, parlament, government, courts, military, security, … etc is not disadvantagrous for the Oromo. Such Ethiopia will be de facto Great Oromia, which is bigger than Gadaa Oromia of the OLF. But, not yet answered challenging question is whether Abiy Ahmed and his prosperitan Oromo followers have gut to realize this noble original vision of Dr. Haile Fida.

Just like the inevitable division of Southern Ethiopia into multiple regions (Sidama, Wolaita, Gurage, Kaffa, Omo, Hadiya, Kambata, Gamo, etc), Northern Ethiopia will also have more regional states like Kunama, Erob, Tigrai, Wolqayit, Raya, Agaw, Qimant, Afar, Argoba, Wallo, Gojjam, Gondar and Shoa. When we look at the real identity of nations in Ethiopia (Great Oromia), it is fact on the ground that Abyssinia (present regions of Amhara and Tigrai) belong mainly to Agaw nation. Especially, there is no fact which stands against most part of Gondar, Gojjam and certain part of Wallo being Agaw national area.  Otherwise, is it true when some writers say: Oromo is Cush and Cush is Oromo? Or is it only half-true like for instance: ‘Oromo being Cush’ is true, but ‘Cush being Oromo’ is false? If we do believe that it is only half-true, is it fact that the land where Agaw people (a Cushitic sibling of the Oromo) do live, extending from the north tip in Eritrea where Bilen do live, to the south tip in Gojjam where Awi live, is known as Agaw-Midir?

Is this part of Ethiopia not the one brutaly influenced/victimized both culturally and linguistically to become core of Abyssinia? Well, certain part of Oromo area (Shoa, Gojjam, Wallo and south Tigrai) are of course other big part of Abyssinia, being accompanied by certain part of Beja, Afar and Saho. That is why, I dare to say that Abyssinians in reality are ABASO (Afar, Beja, Agaw, Saho and Oromo), who denied or lost their Cushitic origin. Another fact on the ground is that, elites of these strongly brutalized Cushites are the worst perpetrators of oppression or they are tormentors of their own kinds and kins, who are not as Habeshanized as they themselves are. Now let me minimize talking about Biyya-Oromo (Oromia) for a while and try to concentrate on Agaw-Midir.

The Agaw people were perhaps first mentioned in the 3rd century Axumite inscription. The inscription refers to a people called ‘Athagaus’ (or Athagaous), perhaps from Ad Agaw, meaning ‘sons of Agaw’. The Agaw are also later mentioned in an inscription of the 4th century Axumite King Ezana and the 6th century King Kaleb. Based on these evidences, a number of experts embrace a theory that they are the original inhabitants of much of the northern Ethiopian highlands, and were either forced out of their original settlements or assimilated by the “Semetic-speaking” Tigray-Tigrinya and Amhara peoples. They currently exist in a number of scattered enclaves, which include Bilen in and around Keren in Eritrea; Qwara and Qemant, who live around Gondar; those in the west of Tekezé River and north of Lake Tana; a number of Agaw living south of Lake Tana, around Dangla in Agaw Awi zone; and another group living around Sokota. The Agaw ruled during the Zagwe dynasty of Ethiopia from about 1137 to 1270; the name of the dynasty itself comes from the Ge’ez phrase Ze-Agaw (meaning ‘of Agaw’), and refers to the Agaw people. The currently existing subgroups include: Northern Agaw, who are known as a Bilen, their capital being Keren; Western Agaw known as Qemant, capital Gondar; Eastern Agaw known as Xamta, capital Soqota; Southern Agaw known as Awi, capital Injibara; also included in this ethnic grouping are Bete-Israel, who formerly lived in northern Amhara region with Qemant and Qwara, but emigrated in late 1990s to Israel.

The best you can do is teach the likes of mustafa omar and demeke mekonen afan oromo in a boring office room. And create a Opdo 2.0 where regional leaders are disconnected from their own people because of your initiation of forcing afaan oromoo down some politicians throats

Btw most oromos keep to their own lands and we respect them for that but you are unitarian and you are trying to destroy Biherbehersebs Ethiopia replace 80 languages through force and terror. Anyone can learn Oromigna but not through force. That is the problem with you guys always trying to use force to make Ethiopia a shixhole

stay in your own lane. We dont bother your illubabor jimma arsi and bale nor do we force anyone to learn and speak amharic in Ethiopia so stay out of our state. The agaws are habeshas abysinnian christian highlanders and have amhara kilil citizenship & have nothing to do with your Oromunna Imperialist Wannabee cancer which is only native to Borana, Kenya we also know you welegans are behind the massacre of innocent agew children in metekel.

Look at OMN and OBN they cant even get 9,000 views all their Oromigna seber zenas get no views tell us why???

Nobody should be forced to speak any language in Ethiopia period. The welaytans can speak welaytan all they want who the fck cares

You also want to enforce white man latin instead of ancient fidel! Hahaha come one leave us the heck alone you are the worst oromo keep to your own state and leave us the hell alone

mr robot, abiy doesn't posses the magic to make afan oromo the primary language of ethiopia.
he can at max make afan oromo federal language legally but it won't change much in reality other than on paper.
it is like UN declaring Chinese the main language of the world
it doesn't change the reality of the dominance of english

you need to visit ethiopia and see how deep rooted amharic is
you are living in your own fantasy
you are asking abiy to perform magic
he ain't a magician

Interestingly, just as Habesha elites used to tell that the Oromo “migrated” in 16th century to Ethiopia, also Eritreans do narrate that Bilen “migirated” to Eritrea in 16th century. What a parallel! Fact is that both Agaw and the Oromo are indigeneous nations in this north-eastern part of Africa. Agaw became the first and the most unfortunate victim of the Habeshanization process for last 3000 years; the Oromo being relatively mildly affected. Thanks to Oromo liberation movement in checking as well as in resisting this brutal Habeshanization process, significant part of Biyya-Oromo do still enjoy cultural and lingual identity of being an Oromo in comparison to the more than 90% of Agaw, who lost their cultural and linguistical root and became Habeshas of either Amharinya-speaking or Tigrnya-speaking. Had it not been checked like this by our galant Oromo warriors, by now we could also have such mostly Habeshanized and fragmented Biyya-Oromo with only some scattered enclaves of Afaan Oromo-speaking minorities being surrounded by the majority of either Amharinya-speakers or Tigrinya-speakers, just like the presently fragmented situation of Agaw-Midir.

Even though Habesha elites try to deny their Cushitic base and identfy themselves otherwise, of course paradoxically loving the name Ethiopia, in reality Abyssinian history is mostly conflict-history of Agaw elites vs Oromo elites, the very complex conflict among and between both the Habeshanized and the non-Habeshanized parts of the two nations (Habeshanized Agaw vs Habeshanized Oromo; Habeshanized Agaw vs non-Habeshanized Oromo; non-Habeshanized Agaw vs Habeshanized Oromo; and non-Habeshanized Agaw vs non-Habeshanized Oromo). We can just look at the conflict between Atse Theodros (Habeshanized Agaw of Qwara) and Ras Ali-II (non-Habeshanized Oromo); that of Aste Theodros and Atse Yohanne (Habeshanized Agaw); Atse Theodros and Aadde Worqitu (non-Habeshanized Oromo of Wallo, who killed Atse Theodros); Atse Yohannes and Aste Minilik (Habeshanized Oromo); Atse Minilik and Ras Gobana (non-Habeshanized Oromo), etc. I just mentioned very few of the conflicts, but we can narrate about all conflicts in that cursed part of Cushitic Ethiopia starting from King Ezana (Habeshanized Agaw) to Emperor H-Sillasie (Habeshanized Oromo).

Just to hide this fact, the hitherto Habesha story-tellers narrated as if almost all the monarchs were non-Cushitic, but as if few of them of course had Cushitic mothers and wives. For instance, “Susenyos was not Cushite, but only his mother was Oromo; Theodros was not Cushite, but his wife was Oromo; Yohannes was not Cushite but his wife was Afar; Minilik was not Cushite, but his mother and wife were Oromo and H-Sillasie was not Cushite, but his mother and wife were Oromo.” Why did these “historians” hide Cushitic origin of their kings, but don’t want to deny identity of mothers and wives of the nobility? Based on less value they tend to give for females (based on their culture of despising this gender)? The only one from the latest leaders of Ethiopia, who was not given a relationship to the Oromo is Meles Zenawi. Even Mengistu H/Mariam is said to be of Oromo, even though as usual, Habesha elites tried to relate him with their royal family (they gave him the status of being son of certain Abyssinian Dejazmach) as he was in power. Can this un-relation to the Oromo be a reason, why Meles Zenawi was the one who hated and mistrusted the Oromo more than any of Habeshanized rulers of the country? ISurprisingly, he is the only ruler, who had no trustful Oromo around his Finfinne palace (forgeting the symbolic presidents sitting in another powerless palace).

Coming back to the most brutalized part of Ethiopia, what the Agaw people now need is liberation fighters like their historical hero, Yodit Gudit, the fighters who now should struggle for freedom of Agaw nation and for revival of their culture and language. The Agaw liberation movement during Zagwe dynasty and the movement under Yodit were similar to 16th century liberation movement of the Oromo against the Habeshanized oppressors. During these movements, both Agaw and Oromo tried to resist against the Habeshanized elites, who are notorious and worst instruments used by alien forces, especially by European colonizers in order to divide and conquer the mighty Ethiopia of African continent. These alien forces used the mentally corrupted Habesha elites, who did instigate conflicts and wars between different Cushitic groups and nations. The most silly parts of hitherto conflicts being the ones we had based on colonial borders like the conflicts between Eritrea and Ethiopia, Somalia and Ethiopia, Djibouti and Eritrea, Somaliland and Somalia, etc. Actually, main conflict of the region is between Habesha elites and non-Habeshanized Cushites. This conflict is not as such a border issue, but a problem with the Habesha elites’ system of domiantion.

If this is the case, then why do the Oromo and other oppressed nations consider Habesha elites as colonizers? I personally think, it is because of the fact that Habeshanized elites from the culturally and linguistically lost part of Ethiopia are still implementers of colonial policy of alien forces, the worsely brutalized colonial victim of these proxy colonizers being Agaw-Midir, which is followed by Biyya-Oromo, Somalia, Afarland, Sidamaland, etc. The current pawns from the Habesha, who are used by alien forces against Ethiopians are of course TPLF elites. Consequently, the ongoing struggle is an attempt of Cushites to liberate Cushitic Ethiopia from tyranny of this servants and slaves of Western regimes. This Biblical Ethiopia is totally different from Fake/Pseudo Ethiopia, about which the Habeshanized elites sing day and night. The reality we do see is that Habeshic Ethiopia is anti-thesis of Cushitic Ethiopia. Abyssinian-Ethiopia is in which the Cushites are brutalized by the tormentors using the name of Ethiopia, whereas in Biblical Ethiopia, all the Cushites were respected and revered as the chosen people of Waaqa.

The way forward now is liberating Agaw-Midir and other parts of Ethiopia, including Oromia from these self-denying and self-hating Habesha elites and from their system of domination, which is created and controlled by their Western masters. Such liberated Ethiopia is surely the best precondition for further integrated, prosperious and united Africa. The recent demand of Agaw nationals to make Gondar and Qwara as their own recognized autonomous national area is a nice move. This move must include also other parts of Agaw-Midir like Axum, Lallibela, Bahirdar of Wayixo people, etc. Just for those readers, who are interested to know more about the liberation movement of the Agaw, here is the quest of Qemant (part of the Agaw-Midir) for self-rule in a certain Qemant people’s conference for recognition and self-governance ( http://www.wlka.wordpress.com/2011/03/1 … manifesto/ ):

“We Kemant people’s representatives from nine woredas (counties) of Gondar being numbered more than one thousand delegates and supporters held a half day conference in Gondar City, Cinima Hall. We discussed in depth on an unresolved issue, on a demand for Kemant nationality’s recognition and self-governance under a framework of the FDRE’s constitution. After appraising the ongoing process, we have learned that one million Kemant people’s constitutional rights have not been realized and consequently, we do have no choice, but stand firmly for our legitimate rights. Inline with the above terms, at the end of the conference, we have issued the following communiqué to validate our commitment to our constitutional rights.

We reaffirm constitutionality of our demand for recognition and self-governance. We confirm that this quest for recognition is not just individuals’ interest, but the Kemant people’s unfolding demand. The Kemant people’s demand is not different from the other nations-nationalities’ demands and it needs our government’s urgent response. The Kemant nationality’s identity recognition has been resolved in principle subsequent to the fall of Derg, the impediment and the slow process in the materialization is not the sake of the government policy, but individuals’ sabotage and consequently we call upon them to refrain from such undemocratic activities. Our demand is constitutional, but not a notion of charity, which depends upon a goodwill of individuals, thus extra delay involved in the process is unacceptable and it has got adverse influence. We reaffirm that the Kemant people’s demand is intended only for peace, development, equality and democracy. Kemant Nationality Interim Coordinating Committees at every level shall continue to work with Kemant people, supporters and government to materialize the Kemant people’s aspiration.

The Kemant people’s demand is consistent with the objectives, for which thousands of Ethiopians sacrificed their lives and we need to stand for practicality of the same. We think any incompatible position on this issue should be considered as departure from the EPDRF’s political line and should be treated as an individual view. Our quest for recognition and self-governance is not intended for supremacy, but for equality, as a result, we demand that the Kemant people be counted as the distinct entity in the future national census, as it was prior to 2007. We demand the restriction on the Kemant people’s participation on Hidar 29 Annual Nations-Nationalities Cultural Festival be lifted. It can be recalled that the Kemant representatives used to take part in this festival, but has been suspended since recognition request has been arisen. We demand Amhara Regional State to respond to our demands constitutionally without delay. Let us live in dignity, freedom and equality with all Ethiopian nations and nationalities.”

Just to support this effort of Agaw people, it is good to remind the concerned authorities that human rights are basic needs that every person is entitled to just for being human, to detrmine one’s own self-destiny. ‘All men are created equally’ is the concept, which can be associated with the Biblical notion that man is created in image of God. In the 18th century it was a popular political philosophy in American politics of the struggle for independence. However, until the revolution against slavery at the time Abraham Lincon, the idea was in short of reality because the constitution of the United Sates didn’t treat the black minorities equally to the Whites. But at the end, an abolishment of slavery made the idea coherent with the values of America more or less. Is the formal constitution of Ethiopia treating Agaw nation in general, Qemant nationality in particular, equally with other nations? If so, why are they deprived of their basic rights like self-rule, which other nationalities have got at least symbolically, even though it is a fake self-rule? The question yet to be answered is then: can Agaw-Midir and the Habeshanized part of Biyya-Oromo be liberated from being part of Abyssinia? The answer is ‘yes’, if non-Habeshanized Cushites, who are now struggling for their own freedom and independence also be ready to help the Habeshanized ABASO to get rid of their false identity. Is this a wishful thinking or a fact-based longing, which is different from any irreal fancy? Simply put, the present Amhara region is de facto Agaw national state. The Agaw deserve to claim it and have it. May Waaqa of the Cushites help them!
