On Current Opposing Views From the US & Ethiopian Administrations

There have been various articles and comments by intellectuals among us in regards to the current back and forth between officials of the Biden Administration and the regime led by PM Abiy. Some of these articles and comments seem to be triggered by raw emotions and unqualified rage. But still I applaud them for being so candid and concerned about that gem of the colored we all left behind. There is another issue that has become a matter of concern for me. A friend of mine who lives in the Midwest told me recently that some of the editors of these websites where we have been posting our honest comments are said to be tracking our IP addresses and archiving them on their hard drives. I am not concerned too much about it but I think that is an abuse of trust we have on them. Why are they tracking and accumulating IP addresses of those who post comments on their websites? This is as filthy as it can get. In any case this was my comment censored on another website.
This is a great emotion inducing article by our patriot brother. I really think and also hope that the seemingly bruised up century plus old relationship between these two governments will be in the mend. I really believe that it can be brought back to its healthiest glory. All it needs is a new set of properly ‘educated’ advisors on both sides. I don’t think both Biden and even Trump are bigots. Not at all! If Biden is so racist a black woman would not be able to tell him what to do. At a racist big house the highest position a black woman can attend is the role of Auntie Jemima or Mammy as in Gone With The Wind. If also Trump was a racist he would never give his blessing to his daughter to marry a Jewish man. I remember a friend who sent me a video clip in which Ivanka was shown busting a move with Ethiopian folk dancers. That does not show me she was raised by a racist father. What our well read countrymen/women do is temper their raw emotions and engage this and future administrations in constructive manner. They should seek and secure audience with their representatives in the Congress to present their case in diplomatic manner. They should be tenacious and should never give up at first tries. Failure should not be an option. Calm demeanor and eloquence must be the primary qualifications. Our forefathers were never over taken by emotions when they marched into battlefields like Adwa. If it was the case they would not be able to execute such a genius battle plan and beat the tar out of that bully Baratieri. I say enough with street demonstrations. The message has been conveyed already. It is time for crafty diplomats among us to start talking to members of Congress and officials in the administration. Btw, about Trump calling African countries ‘sh..holes’. I see that as the mildest way of calling them. I have been calling their leaders much worse than that and they deserve them all. Don’t start with me about Mengistu, Amin, Mobutu, TPLF cohorts, Jean-Bidel Bokassa…. You wanna me to go on? How about many of the current leaders? Don’t start me with that one either! I have irrefutable justification for that. Yes countries like Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Chile and Malaysia were all once ruled by brutal dictators. But when the dictators left the scenes they had left vibrant economies behind them. They killed and jailed but they had turned their countries upside down industrially. When they pilfered aid money they also built Samsung, LG numerous others we can’t wait to put our hands on the products they manufacture. They didn’t just reroute aid money back into totally untraceable secret bank accounts everywhere. What ours did better than anyone else was export their well educated citizens to the West at no charge. Where do most of our surgeons, engineers and experts of every field live? Aha, aha!! Don’t start with me!!!
