I don't know why people talk about Mekele, as if Mekele is not in Ethiopia. This is weird in my view, just like the term TDF, as if Tigray is not a federal region of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, whose constitution stipulates that the competency of defense lies with the federal authority, not of the regional authority.
Tigray shouldn't have any foreign ministry and a defense ministry, among others and in my understanding.
If Ethiopia is to clear itself from the banda, then it has to do from all of its territories and that stretches all the way to the reiver Mereb to the north, if I am not mistaken.
