Quite distressing!
This is taking place not in the desert in the Sinai but in the US - a country that often wants to teach others ethics.
In the US, there is a big market for dead bodies and dead body parts and there’s too much gray area in this field due to lack of regulation. There are even dead body brokers in the US who sell body parts via email, who also have become intertwined with the American funeral industry. In most states, anyone can legally purchase body parts.

The problem is when other croocks, mafia kind of organizations sell and profit from the body parts or organs of dead people with out the consent of the families.
But if you ask me it should be legal to sell the body parts or organs of dead people by the family of the dead.
A dead person is no more a good person. He/she is dead.
So, there are two benefits in this scenario.
First, the parts or organs of the dead person would help some sick people who is in need of specific part and through that process the family of the dead person will feel like their dead is still alive ala the recipient.
Second, there should be brokers who deal with only the living family members and the transaction should be between the family members of the dead person and the recipients.
After all, with out the family knowing it, such theft is happening any way.
So, make is legal and win, win situation.
In my case, I don't believe in burying dead people. It is a waste of money and waste of real easte for cemeteries and their upkeep.
So, I have a will which stated that when I die, my remains be donated to a hospital (of my choice) or any university, so that....if they can't find good organs, can still cut my body in pieces and learn from it.
I mean, if it was legal to sell body parts or organs, I would sign that my remains be sold to make my living family members get rich by selling my no more good body (corpse).
Again, we don't really know if the mafias are cutting our bodies and selling our parts. And what difference does that make if we burry uncut body in a grave? Does burying an intact dead person, will stay as such burried 6 feet under?
Heck no. It will just get rotted, mutilated worse than what it would have been had it was cut clinically, sold and benefit both families.
But if what happened to this Somali family is true, yes it is very sad, and she should sue.
