Could it be that Ethiopian army was strong because of Tigray soldiers and generals?
Ethiopia used to have one of Africa's strongest armies, which worked alongside the US in the so-called "war on terror".
So how have rebel TPLF forces been able to make such rapid advances from their bases in Tigray?

Because they don’t know what they are doing. When they know what they are doing is practically self-sabotaging, it will be too late.

Ethiopian army was 39th in powerful army the world in 2014 and it is 66th in 2020 before the war on Tigray. Guess where it would be now after the demolition under TDF? Is this how ከፍታ works in Dr Abiy zemen. The bigger the number the better : )

I don’t think there was an Ethiopian army before Abiy took power. For twenty- seven years there was an army, but not an Ethiopian army. He just started to make an Ethiopian army as soon as he became prime minister. The Ethiopian army now is in its infancy, but I am confident it will mature.
