We all know it's the poor peasants that bear the brunt of the elites' arrogant miscalculation. On top of that, there are superpowers that sort out their ideological battles in poor countries whilst ensuring no war is fought on their land and involving their citizens.

Let's hope seasoned African leaders such as Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and South African ex-president Thabo Mbeki join Obasanjo in the ongoing mediation efforts realizing that the failure of a fellow African counttry affects all Africans one way or the other.
