Thanks for sharing this. Very interesting and it's clear that CIA is using same cook book in Ethiopia's case. When you add the story of the Crisis group (against Ethiopia) that you once posted here, every thing becomes crystal clear that USA is engaged in destructive process with clear objective achieving for a regime change. Every bits of thing US has made against Ethiopia (sanctions and bla bla restrictions) is a clear testimony. Abiy must be very careful as the US sees the situation on the battle field doesn't bear fruits, their ultimate option could be to assassinate Abiy himself I don't think they intervene militarily but they may do so to kill him

Now, one would wonder whether asking US entities to leave Ethiopia would be in Ethiopia's favor under the circumstances we are in now.....or that would open the door for military confrontation, potentially igniting the third world war

A 3rd world war between US & China for the control of Ethiopia is very unlikely. Any world war in this nuclear age is too costly to entertain as an option for global supremacy. All other options are possible realities. As you well know the current America strategic doctrine is indirect, proxy, irregular, alliance warfare.

Hence, the #1 Ethiopian objective (task) is to eradicate actual and potential American proxies (clients) within Ethiopia and deny the US the tools to intervene. All the other American tools are being used in different degrees and intensities- psychological warfare, information warfare, economic warfare, politico-diplomatic warfare and of course proxy war (TPLF, Egypt, Sudan) as US clients.

If we persevere as one people, one nation, one country, one government and one military carefully taking care our global backers as well as African Unity, America will be forced to change its stratagem; that is, it will have to engage in other forms of struggle to gain superiority in the region such as more economic, political and cultural influences.

China has such critical influence in Ethiopia/Africa not by military and other aggressive ways, but by economic tools, lending us money and building our infrastructure. The days Americas control governments of the world by buying and bribing dictators and America puppets are gone in Ethiopia.

As you have imagined, it is possible that America might try to assassinate or poison Abiy, but then what? There is not a single individual remotely acceptable to the 120 million Ethiopia (with exception Tigrays) to form any kind of central government in Ethiopia, not one. So, any sensible America interest will evaluate the current TPLF debacle and slowly back track to a theory of multi-polar competition with China, Russia, EU, Turkey, India, Iran, Gulf states, etc.

For all these to be desirable and inevitable, Ethiopia and her leaders must remain invictus & unbreakable!
