I concur with most of your analysis with reservation.

I am of the opinion that this ugly civil war which is being waged is a proxy war. It has all hallmarks that the great powers are involved in it. Uncle sam is standing with the weyanne (mind you the weyanne would never ever dare to move an inch without the blessing, consent or approval from uncle sam). On the other angle, the russians and the chinese are on the side of abie regime albeit secretely. Forget the arabs, they are just pawns and they don't count while they are uncle sam's water carriers.
