Here is my take why the liberal imperialist media is opening up ----
1. The time table for the regime change coup expired and the last nail was the national state emergency and nation wide people's war the Banda hidden agents.
2 . The Ethiopian military front is crushing the Junta herd and West is sensing the end of the war
3. The total unity of Ethiopia, national anger and the level of anti-America rage by Ethiopian people
4. The spectacular punishment of Democrats by the Virginia Ethio-Eritreans
5.The Nigerian AU envoy
6. The DC demonstration .....

Now we must push even more to finish it off. We will now see exposure of UN corruption, TPLF crimes etc.

NOW THE WORLD KNOWS THAT TPLF IS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION ! DITTO!

No doubt Ethiopians can tilt the scale to Republicans easily, but we don't want to get a backlash from many Black Africans and progressive communities that depend on social services that the Republicans would cut right after they took power. However, we can approach the elected officials and explain our stand and how upset we are with Biden Administration's blind support of TPLF. We can give them facts about what happened in Virginia and DC areas. If they ignore our warning then we can repeat Virginia in Atlanta.

TGAA,
I don't think so. African Americans have never influenced American policy in defense of Ethiopia. During Haile Selassie, they did not even have sufficient influence to take care of themselves. During Mengistu, they were backers of EPLF and TPLF 100% and the current TPLF backers are the 1970, 1980 so called progressive supporters of liberation movements. So African America know little about colonialism and are poor, very poor student of African history and politics. This is why almost all of Black American foreign policy workers and global level politicians are West Indians. I couldn't remember a Black person from US in any significant American Foreign policy. Also Black people are habitual voting cannon fodders of democrats. Even Obama did not advance their cause.

In short, Ethiopian Americas and Eritrean Americas must register to vote as independents. Then depending on the issues, they must switch their votes according to our pragmatic needs. We are independent voters. Unless and until Biden changes America policy pull back his stupid sanctions, this is what we do.

1. Where our numbers are actually enough to swing an election, we use our votes.
2. where our numbers are not large to enough to swing the election, we become organizer, mobilizers for the candidate our choice.

The US media has always been on Abiy's side, he is a capitalist privatizer who wants to sell off state assets. The US hates Eritrea for unrelated reasons.

What are those reasons that US hates Eritrea for?

Pay attention to the volume settings when both of them are speaking at the same time or alternatively.

The Volume of the CNN Host is more pronounced (audible) than the Ethiopian PM's Secretary.

They use this kind tactic to basically mute others argument in the moment of heated debate.

Your hear it on CNN, FOX and other Media...

True, but the two ladies had two different objectives and were simply talking past each other. The CNN lady was trying to prove that they are not fake and do their factual homework to produce news! Wrong. But our lady was not responding to that and in fact she did not labor on proving the lack of veracity in CNN story. She simply repeated until it sinks into people's head that TPLF is a Terrorist Criminal Enterprise! She was effective. For everything the Government did the reason was the Terrorist organization TPLF. The CNN wanted to make a case of unwarranted State of emergency and mass sweep of Tigrays in Addis, ብሌኒ went back to the core issue. TPLF terrorists had openly stated to invade Addis and Abiy had the responsibility to protect Addis residents ... it was perfect.

So, controlling the conversation through volume didn't succeed.

Eritrea has funded and armed a number of Somali groups opposed to the Ethiopian proxy government in Somalia in order to weaken Ethiopia's influence. A lot of these groups are also American foes.

If you'll notice the US issued an ultimatum to Eritrea only to withdraw from Tigay, because the US doesn't want Eritrea to gain more power or influence. This has the effect of completely undermining the ENDF's offensive in Tigray but this was not the intended result of America's intervention. Abiy had informed the United States that Ethiopia had already won the war so the US wanted Eritrea out to limit their influence.

The US media actually went out of their way not to report on the war in Tigray for nearly 240 days.

That is not true. Eritrea was only working for the unity of the Somali people by providing them with space for talks about the future of their country. Somalis do not need Eritrea to supply them with weapons. They can do it by themselves. Don't spread lies.

The Ethiopian army was not defeated because it lacked the support of Eritrea. Our army lost because it was not an Ethiopian military but a Tigray army - 40% of enlisted 95% of the officer class was Tigrays. In fact, the whole war so far shows how weak TPLF is. Ethiopia without a functioning army survived the worst without TPLF going beyond Wello. Now, we are talking about a whole different world - the army being rebuilt, so called Tigray is dismantled, its officers gone, civil wing demolished, its vast economic control network shattered. Simply, it is a miracle or it is the genius of Abiy that TPLF is where it is a short 1 year!

Whether it is true or not, America believed it to be true, which in addition to Eritrean hostility to Djibouti (home to a large American military base) is enough for America to be hostile to Eritrea.

Let us see if CNN is going to report this ...

Don't put your guards down yet. CNN is attempting to create a false impression of neutrality and impartiality in its reporting of the conflict, in much the same way the US ambassador to the UN had voiced her half-hearted condemnation of the TPLF, just as they discovered the level of political awareness among the Ethiopian public has skyrocketed during the last year of the conflict due in part to the Ethiopian media playing a huge role in bringing the people closer to the reality to the conflict, therefore they cannot be deceived by CNN's fake news or the UN's candy-coated lies.

They are now debuting a new gimmick which revolves around a band of Uber drivers and Parking lot attendants in DC they're trying to present as individuals unblemished by the conflict, hoping for the Ethiopian people to see them as alternatives to the current leaders, when in fact they were picked from street corners to serve as stunt actors alongside the TPLF.

Don't believe the hype! Ain't nothing changed. Keep your guards up, and protect your mind at all times.

If the US intervenes for anyone it would be to stop TDF from taking Addis Ababa, US is worried about stability, they don't care about Tigray starving to death or Amhara IDPs or anything, but Ethiopia imploding is bad for business.

In my view Becky Anderson's argument has been put to rest with a simple ask back of where in this world a soverign state may not use all available means to protect the national security and territorial integrity of the nation?

She also asking if the govenment is prepared to decale a "full-fledged" cease fire while trying to ignore the key point that the government has already declared a humanitarian ceasefire but the other side opted to take that as an opportunity to advance its destabilizing the state.

She also repeatedly ignored the key point that the current government is a democratically elected one, which the other side to the conflict is trying to topple it with a means of violence, but why?

She was saying that CNN reported professionally. What? If so, then is she prepared to corroborate the claim that the rebels are just 15 miles from the capital city? What was the source of the information for "professional reporting" then?

If it is reporting professionally, then why are they still ignoring and ommitting the simple fact that the war was imposed on Ethiopia by the belligerence of the TPLF, which has attacked the national defense force of the country on its base under the fall of dark night?

Ethiopia had no other option but to fight back, nobody can argue here anything different reasonably.

I have to appreciate Belenie Seyoum for the eloquent explanation but I think she could have still prepared more to the interview and debunk their claims more easily. She has the advantage of pre judging their line of argument.
