Both these women are incredible. However, Beleni's attempt to defend the undefendable was in vain. But she still kept her composure and stuck with the talking point except in one occasion. She accused the international media of exaggerating the state of chaos awaiting Addis, the capital. But right then she addmitted the same chaos expected to happen and her government declared state of emergency and all the rhetoric to defend the city. If GOE expects such an attack on the city to the point of declaring SOE then what is the accusation against international media?

The other point I like to make is Ethiopians should make their case when they get such rare opportunity to appear on these big media rather than accuse the same media they are on. We need more diplomats who know how to navigate the media in a smart way rather than waste the opportunity treading insults.

Lastly. the PM must appear on the international media with an interpreter and make his government's case rather than hiding. He doesn't have to speak in English if he is not comfortable. An interpreter will do it.
