Leaving aside the absurdities, Amhara is reversing the carnage in real time. Amhara is a very structured society which believes in Government and rule of law. That has costed the society enormously. Expecting the Government, be it Regional or National, would do the things necessary to safeguard the society seems to be falling nose dive as we see it.

In a very few days, the Amhara forces are taking their fate in their own hands and moving the fight to the enemy's den. The gov't might have good intentions but the way it is brought up and running its affairs invites some scrutiny. This war and its gruesome effects perhaps, is the grill the Amhara have to go thru to unshackle themselves from the three decades of subjugations they have been under. It is now the people's war which will have to end only in one way!

I trust the Amhara people. They are farmers like their cousins in Eritrea. Their way of life dictates that their life is organized and rule of law is respected. My problem is with those Amharas who are in a way or another helping the Tigrayan aggression directly or indirectly by speading propaganda that demoralizes their people and Ethiopia as a whole. Examples of such people ( wendxagereds ) you find them active on youtube. It is painful but true.

I appreciate your positive reply.

The bandas are still controlling the power lever in the Regional Gov't. This has made the fight against TPLF/OLF and other enemies so bitter. WE all have heard how the security chief in North Gondar was supplying intel to the enemy to have General Tefera Mamo murdered. It was so painful to hear that man saying what he did. There are thousands like him in our midst. Now imagine what the OLF and other forces imbedded in the Gov't are doing to sabotage the fight. On top of that add the US and UN siding with the bandits and vilifying the victims. In spite of these enormous challenges, the Amhara struggle is synthesizing and and now mounting a defining pushback.

"There is no Amhara. Amhara means ' yeterara sew ' "

That was what some Amhara intellectuals and Mengistu himself were trying to inculcate into the minds of the ordinary Amhara people. Its dangerous and confusing consequence is now clear for everyone to see.
