When a Colonel is captured, it means his entire unit which may be a division has been wiped out. That is the only way you capture an officer of that rank! But Agames seem never to give a damn. Hundreds of thousands of Agames will die by the end of this war. A good way of population control when you are as poor as agameland!

The capture of ኮለነል ተኽላይ ሕሉፍ is indeed a sign that he and his army must have faced total defeat. There was for sure no time for him to retreat or escape from the Ethiopian army and Fano.
