People thought tigrayans could have been easily defeated and then humiliated by abiye and his Amhara. Gang. How the. Situation has turned is beyond imagination who thought tigrayans will be ruling fifty miles outside of Addis Ababa the heart land of Ethiopia. People forget tigrayans are thefolks that invaded Southern Arabia 500 ad what did people expect . Also abiye Ahmed miscalculated he really thought Amhara are a match for tigrayans this how he made the blunder by the way Ethiopia has no army a real cohesive army. Abiye is and will be the sitting duck for the time being His days are indeed numberd.

Then how was it impossible for Tigrayans to venture in Welqayt and Gonder?
1-Because the people there are war like.
2-they cleaned agame informers from their neighbourhood.
3-they don't bank/rely on Abiy
Etc.
Abiy till last week never allowed the state to arm the fano with the weapons needed for modern warfare because Abiy and his Oromo cliques equated arming Fano means enabling the nefxegna to retaliate when Oromos evict Amhara. Abiy is behertegna and no matter how much he hides it, he is Oromo nationalist.
By now it is an open secret that the agames do receive satellite feeds on Ethiopian troop locations and intellence from the west. Intercepted communication reveals that. Agames also have insider I formation from renegade Oromos in the army. These reneged Oromo generals are anti abi and anti Amhara. They sabotaged often.
By the way, Abiy was told to clean Addis from agames and he was confident on his situation and his arrogance is now a source of nuisance. Anyways, Amhara can handle agames and we shall see the final outcome together

I do not believe Fascist Abiy heavily relayed Amhara but Amhara and Abiy solely relied Eritrea the perception they had from the past war but that war had many holes Tigrayans patched them for the Eritrean win and gained their independent. Amhara never won any war nor will win any war even Amhara will not start war unless they control the federal armies and resources even with that they have to hire foreign fighters like Cuba and now Eritrea. Now to resolve the whole problem is to isolate Amhara and let Amhara live alone and let others grain their independent and we shall see Amhara thinks about war let alone wage war against anyone.

Tigrayan didn't even exist back then. A Name given by arab traders in the 17th century for those who occupied a corridor to amhara/oromo region for trade mainly coffee. Everyone knows Axum kingdom were the forefathers of todays Amhara, todays tigrayans are a left over of few hundred years of forced relocation/migration mainly from oromo/harar and lower caste amhara who were forced to remain there.
