I am telling you, the reason Tplf can control is because of OLF/OLA. We know there are Weyanes born in Oromo region but, there are still groups that follow Jawar, Lencho Letta who still want the disintegration of Ethiopia that many actitivists on media trying to distract us there are no Oromos who follow the footsteps of Tplf, yes there are. At the last hour, they can give revive Tplf through their support. That is what Tplf is counting on plus the foreign interference. The sooner we realize that the better. What in Oromo region rather should do is look out for citizens and who is who instead of giving more power to Weyane. This is exactly what happened in Welo.

The best strategy is supporting Amhara who are now cutting off TPLF already. Once that victory is consolidated, the remaining task is easy. This does not even require a sophisticated military strategic expert. Support the brave Raya, Dessie, and Afar fighters in stead of sitting and chatting with the Western envoy. The North Shewa Amhara forces can take care of TPLF or whatever aimless OLF donkeys accompanying them.

In politics, alliances change, and interests remain. Alliances change like the weather, depending on the interests. It is primarily OLF's fault that this happened, and this is coming from a supporter of theirs. However, I am not a blind supporter of anything. I criticize, offer advice, support, etc.
All the OLF has to do, is live up to its potential. If it does that, no doubt, it can mobilize millions of Oromo's, who will be soldiers, and if this is the case, forget TPLF, NO ONE in the Horn will be able to harm the Oromo ever again. They will not even dream of it, forget about actually attempting it.
So far, the OLA is growing and doing well, and of course, there is always room for improvement. It needs the artillery, the tanks, the heavy weapons, then it will be the strongest force in the Horn, which the Oromo were once upon a time...or at least, in the top 5.

You guys need to look at it like this:
Yesterday's allies can be today's enemy. Strategic alliances are formed, in war, when you guys have the same foe. Tigrayans and Oromo's have the same enemy, the party formerly known as the OPDO. The same OPDO that enabled the tplf to massacre, and loot us, is doing it themselves now, without the tplf element, and is now serving the interests of those who fear and hate the oromo, i.e. berhanu nega and co. opdo has always, and will always, depend on external support to keep its power, and to keep the oromo subjugated, because it lacks support and legitimacy in oromia.
For example, Abiy and his party of OPDO, who enabled the TPLF's 20 plus year rule and shared in the looting and the crime committed in Oromia/elsewhere in Ethiopia, used the Qeerroo's struggle [that fano and others later joined], to finally stand up to the TPLF [that part, is good], elevate his lowly position to the highest position [out of greed and desire for fame/power], ... then resumed the same oppressive policies in Oromia that his party did when the TPLF was leading.

So, while I am hesitant to back the tdf and ola alliance, I understand it, and many of us Oromo are suspicious, and weary, but want the OLF to live up to its potential, because if the Oromo have a strong army, forget tdf, no one can beat an united, armed, organized and determined Oromo nation.

How do you form that “Oromo nation?” How do an Oromo nation govern the Sellale, Shewa and Ilibablour , Metu Oromo under Oromia nation ? Just geographically how it could be done forget the rest ? This illusion must stop. Illusion must have a life time. This keeps going on and on. It is nonsense.

you are making a lot of foam in your brain. You justify the alliance between TPLF and OLF (under the guise of" You understand") You think OPDO and Brhan depend on external support , so they are a floating bunch with no roots in Ethiopia etc. "It needs the artillery, the tanks, the heavy weapons, then it will be the strongest force in the Horn, which the Oromo were once upon a time" You have to be brutally honest with yourself , any political entity that stands against united Ethiopia is actually digging its own grave. Once TPLF bit the dust , then it is possible OLO would see the writing on the wall and adjest its vision appropriately . Now since you are in the haze, you are free to entertain whatever pops up in your brain .

Sam: the same way other nations govern themselves. it's not rocket science. all states are man made concepts, just like Ethiopia itself is. it was a concept formed through conquests and made into reality, geographically. the borders will have to be negotiated and agreed upon, then we can go our separate ways, if we cannot make the current union work.

TGAA,
You know it's true, hence the reason you resorted to insults, as opposed to reasoning, logic, etc. External forces, as in, non-oromo's, to maintain rule in oromia. the same way tplf relied on their allies/traitors from among oromo and amara to maintain rule in those areas. Yes, OPDO depended on tigrayan elites to maintain power in oromia, now, it relies on amhara elites, amhara paramilitary groups, and of course, the overall resources of the state-the army, to suppress the oromo. if it had support of the oromo, it would not need to rely on brute force, or target the ''opposition,'' that it knows, would win in any free election in oromia. an united ethiopia is fine, as long as oromo rule oromia, and decide our own fate. no one can impose their will on us and expect to have a stable country.

I don't understand what you mean till Oromo rules Oromia ? Where do Amharas decide the fate of Oromia , actually Amharas has been targeted and killed by different elements in OLF and OPDO members while they are in their farm. They don't even have the right to protect themselves, they are being killed in hundreds, but you are saying there are phantom paramilitary Amhara operating in Oromia. Really? what do you mean by external forces? I apologize for the excessive words I used. Didn't mean to insult though.

Meaning, an Oromo government, elected freely, without arrest, torture, etc, of those deemed ''opposition.''
which is what abiy, the former student of tplf, did to the olf/ofc and others.

Amhara's ain't the only ones targeted while farming and chilling. Oromo's have been too, by their own local government.
Wrong is wrong, regardless of who does it, and who the victims are. OLF has constantly asked for independent and impartial investigations into any crimes that occurred in areas under their rule, and what did opdo/abiy and their allies do? nothing. silence.

I am saying, abiy relies more on the amhara to maintain his power, whether it be in oromia or elsewhere, than he does on oromo's.
his party, you should remember, was created to kick the olf out, and enable the tplf to rule and get rich off the loot from oromia and elsewhere in ethiopia. so his party has a history of betraying us, and even when oromo forgave them, and supported his and lamma's rule, what happened? the oromo got betrayed again.
i do believe that, oromo still want an united ethiopia too, but it must be under a federalist type of system, that gives every state the right to rule themselves. no more ''kifle hager'' days.
