That is the tradition of Tigray which has been inherited from the Axumite time and beyond . Emperor Ezana used to do that to his enemies once they were defeated and captured. Tigrayans fight you hard during the war but once you are captive they do not revenge to you even if you have committed wrong things like we saw what Isaias and Abiy soldiers did. Faith has also a role to play here, God said revenge is his and He want us to forgive our enmies.TPLF/TDF have also strict rules not to harm captives

Yes, but it is still weird to see how the POWs are treated after we saw Abiy's soldiers video taping themselves burning, executing and beheading Tigrians. As much as I hated the seven woyane leaders , I couldn't keep quiet about the hospitality and generosity of the Tigray common people.
