Addis Ababa is part and parcel of Aksumite Kingdom. It was first settled by Tigrayans from Aksum led by King Ezana

King Ezana ruled Aksumite Ethiopia in 4th CE. He built a Church called Washa Michael near Addis Ababa. Though the Oromo have been around Addis Ababa and Aksumite Ethiopians (Amhara, Tigrayans, Guraghes etc ) have been also in Shoa before the Oromo migration to Ethiopia There are no or little difference between Tigray And Amhara as they have similar languages, though Tigrigna is more like Geez. There are well power struggle between Amhara and Tigray elites
Thus Tigrayns should feel at home in Addis Ababa because it is their land and part of their country.
