Ambassador Of Russia Congratulate Ethiopians Over New Government

Addis Ababa, October 5, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador of Russia to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin, congratulated Ethiopians on the formation of the new government.

The holding of general elections in Ethiopia, this year, is a great achievement of the Ethiopian people. In difficult conditions, the country’s authorities managed to organize voting in most of the regions and to ensure the security and transparency of the electoral process; which was confirmed by many independent observers, including from Russia.

The elections as well as the subsequent formation of a new government were another step towards the democratic development of the Ethiopian State and society,

the Ambassador said.

The elections have shown that there are healthy political forces in Ethiopia that are ready to conduct a political dialogue with the aim to find solutions to problems that concern the entire population of the country, in order to develop the state, ensure a peaceful and prosperous future for its peoples,

he noted.

And in turn, a peaceful political dialogue between political forces in any country is an indispensable condition for its democratic development.

The Ambassador expressed best wishes to the government, to live up to expectations of the Ethiopian people and pursue the aims of democratic development of Ethiopia.

I am availing myself of the opportunity to assure all our Ethiopian friends, that Russia will strive to further develop multifaceted relations and cooperation with your country

he added.
