Since January, I have been saying that US needed a new African and a new Ethiopian policy - here its . Ethiopia has caused US to change its poicy. Goodbye Susan and Blinken
Here is Judd Devermont
"Judd Devermont is the National Intelligence Officer for Africa. In this position, he leads the US intelligence community’s analytic efforts on all sub-Saharan African issues and serves as the DNI’s personal representative at interagency policy meetings. He previously was the US Government’s senior political analyst on sub-Saharan Africa. From 2011 to 2013, Mr. Devermont served as the National Security Council Director for Somalia, Nigeria, the Sahel, and the African Union. He spent two years abroad working at the US Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria from 2008 to 2010. He also has lived in South Africa and Cote d’Ivoire. Mr. Devermont has a master’s degree in African Studies from Yale University and bachelor’s degree in History from the University of California, Los Angeles."

Don't setup yourself for a big surprise. Mr. Biden is still the president. Don't expect the US policy in the horn to change overnight. The horn of Africa is strategic and critical area for the super powers. US and the European Union Vs China and Russia will rage on. For the last 100 years, USA had the best interest for Ethiopia albeit Mengistu's tantrum of 17 years.
