The woyane are known for their lies, no surprise here.
But there is a difference between lying to a 2nd person and lying to a 3rd person.
The woyane lying to the west (3rd person) might be considered a strategy of some sort, futile but still a strategy.
But the woyane lying to us is pure madness, and this is erecting huge mental gulf between Tigray and Ethiopia.
Lying to BBC and CNN (3rd person) is not the same thing as lying to the people of Woldya and Wolqait (2nd person).
To me, the most damaging acts of this conflict are not the excess committed by one or the other side, not even the deliberate wanton destruction by woyane to induce hunger in Wollo.

The most damaging act, one that will have lasting impact on future relations for generations to come are the lies intended to give the impression that Ethiopia is committing genocide in Tigray.

Once you falsely accuse somebody of such horrendous crimes, then there is no turning back.
The excess of war can be redressed, but the lasting impression these false accusations will leave on Ethiopian collective memory will last forever

So, Woyane! Lie at you own peril!
