Tegadaly Blinken never gets tired of being humiliated. He wasn't able to pull his pants up before he left Afghanistan in tatters. Now he is going to be decisive with Ethiopia -- and being decisive unbeknownst to Ethiopians. This is a vague statement. What does “ respond decisively” mean ? He was thinking to put on airplane the seven UN guys and send them back to Addis ? Or he is trying to say further economic sanction is on its way ?
My Harvard educated, politically inept secretary should have known the Ethiopian government thought through the impact the decision will entail, and determined to face it.
It is a new world order, my friend.
