The report we are receiving from Northern Ethiopia indicates that fierce fighting between Amhara Militias and Eritrean defense forces is underway in Humera town.
Reportedly, the new clash started when the Eritrean forces ordered the Amhara militias to vacate Humera town.
It’s assumed that the ongoing fighting could be a spillover of the recent fighting between Eritrean forces and Amhara Militias in Gondar where reports of Eritrean soldiers looting the civilians were reported.
We cannot also rule out that PM Abiy Ahmed desires for a political settlement with TPLF and wish Amhara militias to vacate the west of Tigary but avoiding confronting them directly and thus could be using the Eritreans forces to do the work for him.

Based on reports from different sources Eritrean army are heavily involved in the war across Amhara region. It was also reported that the Tigrian army has control over significant part of Amhara region. Apart from helping Amhara's to expel TDF from their region, What will be the end goal of Eritrean army's heavy involvement in the war? Could it be that Eritrea is paving the way for annexing Amhara region and form Northern Ethiopia without Tigray after liberating it from TDF occupation? Is it possible Eritrea first annexes the so called "western Tigray" and then the remaining Amhara region? Is there a possibility for this to happen?
