What I find amazing about Amhara or so called "Ethiopian" media is that they intentionally avoid the fact that Amhara region is refusing to pull back to status quo ante territorial position and is still controlling Western Tigray. Ermias always says ወራሪ ሁሌ ይሸነፋል when talking about TDF invading Amhara and Afar territories. How about Amhara region invading Western Tigray? That is the main driver of the current war.
Restoration of Status Quo Ante is a standard textbook conflict resolution condition which every international org, government or mediator supports. The other alternative is to allow the warring parties to keep territorial gains achieved in the conflict. Such arrangement would be a recipe for future wars, though.

----- Until recently, I did not form suspicion against Ermias Legesse for him being alleged to have sided with TPLF. Now, my suspicion has started to grow. I used to believe he was just opposing simply because he opposed Abiy Ahmed. However, now I can see Ermias Legesse making pitch for TPLF.
To me all of his explanations are very childish and he was trying to deceive naïve Ethiopians by blaming both sides. He is creating equivalence between Abiy Ahmed and TPLF which is very unfair - how can one compare an individual (Abiy Ahmed) with a mafia organization (TPLF). TPLF existed for decades and was thrown by the Amhara and Oromo revolt, largely. Abiy Ahmed attempted to avoid the war, being the leader, but TPLF brought this itself. This war is not even about Abiy Ahmed this is about the sovereignty of Ethiopia.

I am not PP member or supporter, but Ermias is now acting as an opportunist using the media to change the momentum in favor of TPLF. Ermias talks as if people to people reconciliation is a solution, in other words he is telling us the conflict is between ordinary Amhara people and ordinary Tigre, not with the TPLF. This is very insincere . There has never been enmity between people, the problem is TPLF and it should be exterminated.
