Abandoned is not the right word. They were chased out, killed or captured.
Tigregu child soldiers are in tough place because if they return to Tigray, they will be all killed.
Recruitment is forced. All families have to send fighters otherwise no food for them.
We have always said Tigray has no friends because of TPLF greed.
Today, they learned that the hard way.

General Tzadkan with his Human wave strategy was able to reach Barentu Eritrea. but then suffered heavy loses and got pushed back to Badme. Human waves are only good for taking large territory but not long term war. the Nazis lost WW2 with Human waves against The Russians. TPLF is extremely Egotistic they base all their plans on how they can increase their egotism.
