I have an issue with the headline. It is incorrect. Yes, there are a few State Department and foreign policy advisers who are hellbent to defend TPLF. The TPLF “ heroine” on this drama is Susan Rice. And most probably the rest get their marching order from her. But it is a stretch to say the US is siding with TPLF.
Yes, there is another suspect : the Senate foreign relation chairman , a Democrat, who represents New Jersey, is playing the TPLF line for long.
The guy once accused of taking bribe from foreigners. I do not know how that accusation turns out to be. But he is in my suspect list. I do not trust him.
He is too quick to put blame on the Abiy administration. If you ask me something is not right.

Yes the US senate is a deliberate body and it does its deliberation well provided it gets unbiased information .but as a rule "garbage in garbage out" Since the state department, Susan Rice and her buddies , that leads the African policy toward Africa provides the political analysis- it is a given that based on that the democrats line up to come down on any one country they perceive against American interest . The only good thing is that Americans are not pigheaded as many of us think -- if they see there is a stiff resistance from Ethiopian side , they will examine Weyans before they reinvest heavily . And it doesn't take that much to know what kind of scum weyanes are. So America will adjusts its stand accordingly , given the Afghanistan debacle America has much more incentive to scrutinize weyane and their promoters. Weyanes are not Talabans; except plundering international aid destined to Tigrian people and invading villages they have nothing to show for.
