118 Yemeni fishermen returned to city port of al- Hodeidah on Saturday after being detained in Eritrean prisons for varying periods.

The General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea received the fishermen in the fishing ports of Hodeida and al-Khuba.

Head of the General Authority for Fisheries and Fishing Ports in the Red Sea Hashem al-Dane’i said 68 fishermen arrived at the fishing port in Hodeida.

Al-Dane’i pointed out that 50 fishermen arrived at al-Khouba Fishing Port, who were detained by the Eritrean authorities for a period ranging from six to nine months.

The 1999 agreement ratified by the parliaments of both countries. Eritrea and Yemen
  • The agreement demarcates the maritime border between the two countries and gives Yemen sovereignty over most of the archipelago, while fishermen from both countries have a right to fish in each other’s territorial waters around the islands and do business on each other’s shores.
Eritrea is actually violating its legal agreements right now, however, Jailing Yemenis fishermen is not the solution to illegal fishing in Eritrea waters, Yemen Red Sea region is densely populated region, Eritrea will need to do a fishing deal that allows Yemenis fishing boats to fish in Eritrea waters in return Yemenis will pay in licence fees per boat for one year, Isaias Afwerki needs to get his head out of his derrière and solve this problem.

Mohammed Muzlem, an administrator for Yemen’s Traditional Fishing Administration, a department in the country’s Ministry of Fish Wealth, says that more than 5,000 Yemeni fishermen were arrested or subjected to harassment between 2015 and 2017.

“The government of Eritrea has sporadically violated Yemeni international waters with the Eritrean coast guard,” he told The Media Line. “Many fishermen have reported through private syndicates and unions that they were [the victims of] piracy and [had been] shot at by Eritrean forces.”

According to Yemenis seafood association, The largest traditional fishing communities are concentrated in the western Plain of Tehama, where nearly 78,000 fishermen work in fish landing centers along the coastline from Midi to Al Khokha.

Meanwhile, Eritreans are banned from fishing, their hands are tied behind their backs.

Al Khokha is not far from Assab.

The low IQ, terrorist agame AbyssiniaLady, who also uses the nicknames Sarcasm and eden, is telling us that, if we Eritreans completely destroy his TPLF terrorist group in Tigray, he will use his half a million agame refugees stranded in Yemen to wage war on Eritrea, and such childish threat is supposed to make us Eritreans shiver with fear that we will stop destroying his TPLF terrorist group in Tigray. That is agame's low IQ in full display. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Fiyameta blind and deaf bîtch

Do you care about Eritrea and Eritreans? if so, then stop repeating yourself like a broken record and focus on your country instead of Tigray, Take this fact, Eritrea is the most isolated country in the world, It has closed its doors to the outside world, cutting off its own economic lifeline, No wonder people are fleeing.
