It seems it's mostly directed at the Amhara whom they fear might erase their people and culture.
I explained to them that our position as Somalis is nothing against Tigray or Tigregu people but that TPLF betrayed us.
For that they deserve what they got.
It will take time to trust Tigray again but Tigray should begin by firstly admitting to their great betrayal and apologizing to the Somali people.
They agreed that they should.
I also explained Ethiopians can co-exist and the wider Horn.
Eritrean concerns are also our concerns same way Israeli concerns are US concerns. Eritrea and Somali interests and relations are mutually inseparable.
We can't negotiate about that.
If Asmara says Tigray is threat then their voice over rides all.
We agreed Oromo lacks objectivity and clear path. They can't achieve what they couldn't in 800 years today.
Amhara we agreed are not open to co-existence and accepting others. We will keep one eye always open.
But that doesn't mean we kick them either. Let them live and let others live.
If Amhara threatens Tigray, we will not support them and neither should Eritrea. Best to get semi-autonomous Tigray that is no threat to Asmara but at the same time not over run by Amhara.
Amhara will be the bigger threat to Eritrea if we over kill Tigray and give it to the Amhara on a silver plate, I explained. We discussed the recent leaked video.

We have no plans to destroy Tigray and leave Amhara unchecked. It's a delicate balance. That's what we need in the region. At least 500,000 Amhara live with Somalis and no one bothers them but I doubt Amhara would accept 50 Somalis. The Tigregu do have points but what's working against them are the deeds of Woyane in the past 30 years.
If they come to Jigjiga, Djibouti or Mogadishu and apologize, it's a start.
90% of my Ethiopian friends are Tigregu.
