Second, the difference between Abiy Ahmed and Jawar, in my opinion, is sky and earth.
The last thing i want to do is defend Jawar. But if I have to defend him in court of law, I would exonerate him with flying colors effortlessly. Abiy on the other hand is a self incriminated criminal and he can get convicted in no time. But then again Abiy, the con man, has brainwashed a big portion of the population that most of us see him win in the court of public opinion.
Like most politicians Abiy Ahmed is both a shrewd and naïve politician. Jawar is a pure criminal thug, not even a politician with dozens of evidence of crime.
Shrewd is a word reserved for a politician, Abiy is neither a politician nor shrewd. He is a con man with no knowledgeof politics. What kind of politician throws unseen-before public support and a Nobel prize in the dust bin? That is exactly what he did and chose violence and dictatorship to remain in power. If that is not stupid then I don't know its meaning. And his rise to power came about by his conning and brown nosing personality. He never achieved anything on his own to get to where he is now. He was never know by anyone till he was selected by woyanes to replace Hailemariam.
On the other hand, Jawar is shrewd and a real politician that can mobilize a big constituent. We have seen him how he led Kero to remove Woyanes. His political analysis, if you see it with neutrality, is superb. His predictions were spot on. But as every politician he fosters his base which antagonizes others, and most of us are in the camp of antagonized.
Abiy Ahmed never desired to arrest Jawar until he killed Hachalu Hundesa, a star for all Orommuma inspired groups including ODP-PP. That was when Jawar passed the red-line.
Abiy always wanted to arrest or kill Jawar. If you remember , Abiy ordered his security to kill Jawar as as he left for Russia. We know what happened then. The government tried to remove Jawar's security in the middle of the night. If Jawar's security gards had not refused to abandon him, Jawar would have been a dead man Today. But what follows after that incednt was a terrible event that should have been credited to Abiy, but the con man avoided responsibility and it was awarded to Jawar by the court of public opinion.
In short, Jawar is a person that you can't convict legally with any crime because he is shrewd and works within the legal room allowed. But for a common people like you and me, it is impossible to see because we judge without analyzing facts. We tend to be driven by emotions.
Third, Jawar is a conflict importer OLF ltd. corporation. He is a robot of TPLF who with all intent was doing violence and war in central Ethiopia, before the true war broke in Tigray - the birth place of TPLF and the conflict exporter.
I doubt Jawar was a robot of TPLF. He is one of the guys that contributed to the removal of them from power in the first place. But because he understood the power of TPLF, he chose to council the ethiopian people to avoid violence with Woyanes just like many politicians did, ( i.e. Lidetu Ayalew and many others). And looking back, they were 100% right. Look where we are now: economy destroyed beyond repair, diplomacy in shamble, and most importantly tens of thousands of people dead and displaced.
When Jawar is arrested TPLF run out of any means to launch attack in central Ethiopia so the decided finally to do that by themselves, by attacking North Command and Amhara at Mai-kadra, Gondar.
Woyane tried to claim it lit the war, but I am sure they did that thinking they would win so their preemptive strike would be seen as a smart move. But when I hear how Senator Coon begged Abiy not to start war with Tigray two weeks before November 4, and what the late and former police commissioner of the Amhara region claimed as the Amhara militia and especial force under his command started the war even without the knowledge of Birhanu Jula, I concluded that Abiy solicited the help of UAE and Eritrea to attack TPLF way before November 4th. So TPLF started the war because they lost Jawar doesn't hold much water in my opinion.
Jawar was the thug behind the Shashemene destruction, Harar, Wolega, etc massacre. He is as evil and as worse as TPLF.
when Shashemene mayor called in the middle of the night to tell Shimeles Abdisa about it, Shimeles told him to be quiet and go back to sleep. That should tell you PP itself burned the city not Jawar. Wolega is not Jawar's base. I am not even sure he visited it beyond Nekemte (I MAY BE WRONG). But I doubt Jawar would do such foolish things when he was almost guaranteed to win big in oromia with the then coming election.
Regarding the degree of criminality, all or most powerful EPRDF members were known to be criminals. And they acknowledged that and asked for forgiveness. Abiy Ahmed apologized the Ethiopian mass on their behalf. However, some are still continuing their bad habits and TPLF is doing it extremely worse. Their crime is severely accumulated. I for instance would hold Abadula Gemda and Debretsion or Getachew Reda for equal or similar level of crime at the start when Abiy Ahmed took office. If you ask me know, Debretsion or Getachew Reda's crime astronomically higher and worse so that I will let Abadula Gemda walk free.
Abiy apologized, but he is back doing the same thing he apologized for. This kind of snake is dangerous. And our measuring stick should be good for evil and vice versa, rather than the big satan vs small satan. Satan is always satan.
Finally, all dangerous people like Jawar Mohammed should be removed and put in jails from the streets of Ethiopia. I prefer dogs on walking on the streets than Jawar Mohammed and his likes.
Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. But it is always good to judge things for truth and for the good of the people. And what we see is havoc and not a result of good judgment.
