Senator John McCain’s prophetic words about Tony Blinken
The collapse of Afghanistan and the exact role Blinken likely was to play, was foretold by the late Senator John McCain in 2014.
McCain told his Senate colleagues, he uncharacteristically opposed Blinken’s nomination because, Blinken is not only “unqualified” for the position of Deputy Secretary of State but downright “dangerous to America.” (Watch 105 second video below.)

I rise to discuss my opposition to the pending vote concerning Mr. Anthony (Tony) Blinken, who is not only unqualified, but in fact in my view, one of the worst selection from a very bad lot that this president has chosen. I hope that many of my colleagues will understand that not often do I come to the floor to oppose a nomination of the president of the United States because I believe that elections have consequences.
In this case, this individual has actually been dangerous to America and to the young men and women who are fighting and serving it. Let us just review a couple of some of the elements in particular and Mr. Blinken’s role in conceptualizing and furthering it.
US foreign policy is in a shambles. It is at best strategic and at worst anti-strategic.
I’ll move on to Afghanistan. Mister Blinken said, “We’ve been very clear. We’ve been consistent. The war will be concluded by the end of 2014 an that time table will not change.”
This is why I am so worried about him being in the position that he’s in. Because if they stick to that time table, I’m telling my colleagues that we will see the replay of Iraq all over again.
We must leave stabilizing force behind of a few thousand troops. Or we will see again what we saw in Iraq. So, let’s move on to Syria…
So, let’s move on to Ethiopia…

Blinken wants to make Ethiopia the new Afghanistan
For the past nine months, Blinken, Susan Rice, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and of late Samantha Power, have been threatening Ethiopia with all sorts of actions if Ethiopia does not negotiate with the terrorist group: Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).

Barely a week ago, Jeffrey Feltman, “Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa” travelled to Ethiopia and two other countries in the region and deliver an ultimatum to the Ethiopian government.

For the TPLF, negotiations, discussions, elections, etc. are all games.We are ready to negotiate! We are ready to talk!

The disaster of U.S. arranged negotiations
The last time the U.S. insisted a legitimate government negotiate with a terrorist group, that terrorist group used the negotiation process to buy time, organize and strengthen itself and launch a final deadly attack and take over power by sheer military force.
That is exactly what happened in Afghanistan.
The Ethiopian Government will not repeat the mistakes the Afghan Government, by playing a game of negotiations with the TPLF.
It will negotiate with the TPLF in the battlefield, in the only language the TPLF understands.
The Biden administration must stop treating Ethiopia, as if it is its colony.
The imperial attitude of ordering and commanding the Ethiopian Government to negotiate with the TPLF, smacks of the old colonial order.

I believe the Biden administration is currently working with Egypt, Sudan and France to militarily pressure Ethiopia from without.
It is an open secret that so-called Tigray refugees, many of them suspects in the Mai Cadra massacres of November 2020, are undergoing training to invade Ethiopia from the west and link up with TPLF forces in the east. The TPLF’s recent attacks and incursions are desperate efforts to make linkage with Sudanese-trained, I believe with U.S. covert support, TPLF forces.
I believe Samantha Power’s visit to Sudan a couple of weeks ago was to give the green light for the training and deployment of TPLF “refugees” (terrorists), against Ethiopia.
For months, the U.S. has been working to strengthen the Sudanese armed forces.
