Listen to Biden's logic of why US is right in exiting Afghanistan and by that logic he should be support the Ethiopian Army that is heroically fighting terrorist TPLF. This is what we call an incoherent declining power pursuing an incoherent global policy.

American foreign policy closely mirrors its domestic policy. US has a mid-term election in Nov. 2022, a short 1 political year. As of now, nobody knows what public opinion is going to look like on Afghan debacle. Soon we will find out if American opinion chooses, less-interference or more American adventures in the world. That will decide if Biden will be more imperialistic or change US policy. My deep belief is that democrats will become more unpopular and might lose their majority seats in both Chambers.So it is likely that US may now be more concerned about the stability of regimes like Egypt and fight the multitude terrorist groups in Africa and West Asia. On the face of it, they will need Ethiopia on their side in their anti-terrorist crusade. Anti-terrorism is the only issue that Russia, China, US, EU and India agree on. All in all, the Afghan situation favors Ethiopian positions.

The effect of this American debacle is even worse than the Vietnam defeat because China and Russia are already working with the Taliban regime to capture a piece of the massive Afghan gold deposit. USA has now lost the trust of would be puppet regimes all over the world. America global power is now fake and a paper tiger. Internally beset by massive economic, racial and political crisis with a real danger of a fascist (Nazi) party in the rise, US is not in any sort of readiness to invade another country. As we speak, the TPLF blah blah has taken the bottom shelf. When Karen Bass comes to Addis in 1 month, things will be clearer as far as what America wants to do with us. Either way, Ethiopia doesn't give a dime worth of fear ....
