Look at the case of Korea (1953), south Vietnam (1975), Ethiopia (1977), Afghan (1989), Iraq Kurds (1991), Somalia (1993), Afghan (2021), etc. Simply put, the America government is not trustworthy at all for long term military & diplomatic relationships. They only do what they need to do for their own short term & politics interest.
