I don’t think Abiy should meet him. The US government should have known by now TPLF was designated a terrorist organization by Ethiopian parliament. To believe the Ethiopian government will negotiate with homemade terrorist organization is not only stupid, but also insane.
Samhanta power’s visit, assuming her main goal was to deliver food to Tigray — a significant number of Ethiopians rightly argue it is a coverup for something sinister — was more reasonable than Feltman’s.
He shouldn’t come. There is no any reason for him to come.

The north is edging on a stalemate. The Amhara agenda has still its bullwarks in edgy OPP. Feltman's leverage is hope and time which the Amhara agenda will popoo at. Short of a few announcements, the tie breaker OLA has politically and militarily opted to stay relatively dormant. I doubt the dormancy is deliberate. I suspect a hampered resource capacity, commensurate to that of TDF to equalize the future., lack of third party resource and arbitration commitment for an equivalent future adds to the factor of imbalance that hampers a softer landing.
