Mai-Nefhi College of Science graduates 205 students

Asmara, 07 August 2021– In its 14th commencement, the College of Science at the Mai-Nefhi Institute of Technology graduated 205 students in 1st Degree and Diploma programs.

Accordingly, 39 students graduated in Chemistry, 15 in Geology, 31 in Library and Information Science, 21 in Documentation and Archives. 23 in Mathematics, 13 in Physics, and 30 students in Statistics in Degree program while 2 in Marine Resources Management in Diploma program.

Congratulating the graduating students, Prof. Gebray Asgedom, Dean of the Collage, said that the teaching learning process of the 2019/2020 was temporarily disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and with the strong effort of the college’s community and guidelines from the National Institution of Higher Education and Research the students are graduating on time.

At the event, medal awards were handed over to outstanding students in all fields of study.

Mai-Nefhi College of Science, since its establishment in 2008, has graduated 3,253 students in various fields of study.

Athlete Yohannes Tesfagergish is the third Eritrean athlete representing Eritrea in this Olympic games. He had a time of 2:12:07 in the World championship held in Doha, Qatar, in 2017. Athlete Yohannes also raced in the Japan marathon in 2017 and recorded a time of 2:08:14.

Athlete Goitom Kifle is the young brother of athlete Yonas Kifle, who represented Eritrea at the Olympics in Sydney & at the London Marathon. This year Goitom has competed in Hamburg with the world record holder- Kenyan Kipchoge- and came 3rd. He will face him again, tonight.

Athlete Okbe Kibrom has a time of 2:05:53 and is currently the national record holder, and is among the ten favorites at the Olympics. Even though he is representing Eritrea for the first time, he is a highly anticipated athlete to bring a medal home.

እቲ ብክኢላታት ሕርሻ እናተመርሐ፡ ካብ ዝሓለፈ ወርሒ መጋቢት ጀሚሩ – ህዝቢ ዘካይዶ ዘሎ ማይን ሓመድን ናይ ምዕቃብ ስራሓት፡ ምስ ዝናብ ክራማት ተደሚሩ፡ ዕዉት ክኸውን ከምዝኽእል እዩ ዝግለጽ ዘሎ።

ሎሚ ዓመት፡ ኣብ ዞባ ማእከል ልዕሊ ሓደ ሚልዮን ፈልሲታት ንምትካል ዝወጸ ውጥን፡ ብተሳትፎ መላእ ህዝብን ሰራሕተኛታትን፡ ሃገራውያን ኩባንያታትን ማሕበራትን ከምኡ’ውን ኣሃዱታት ሓይልታት ምክልኻልን ውዳበታት ህግደፍን ይትግበር ከምዘሎ ይፍለጥ።
