Amharic is undeveloped and uses many discriminatory words against non-Amhara Ethiopians, specially against Oromos, Southern and Muslims. The recent use of terms like "hyena" designating Tigrayans could be sited as an example. Gallas smell like faeces is another example used by Amara in their language. Gurages are insulted as shoe polishers in
Amharic. Shanqilla is another word used in Amharic to insult black skin Africans all over the world. We need to stop it as a working language as it is taking the whole media coverage. There is 24/24 music on the TV in Amharic, which the majority of Ethiopians do not want to hear because it is not their culture or music.

Geez or Tigrigna should be the national language of Ethiopia as it is the victor's language. Tigrigna is difficult to pronounce but it can be learnt if children get the chance to learn from nursery onward. Tigrgina is the close to Aksumite tradition. It is a blessing to speak Tigrigna as Ethiopian rulers are mostly from Tigray. Tigray's culture and language is very focused and filled with nationalism and self-esteem.

Tigrigna /Geez and English could be the working languages for Ethiopia of 21st Century. A new Ethiopia with Geez as a national language and English as working language at village level will make Ethiopia one of the advanced nations in the world in terms of technology and economic development. Ethiopia will be at peace with itself. Each of us will have nice homes. All infrastructure will be in place as this brings more profit to the country and the population can live longer and better.
