Why does TPLF want Wollo so badly and Abiy Ahmed's EDF very eager to give it away freely? Many questions could be asked

Why the battle is lost in Wollo?

1) Was EDF already destroyed in Tigray and has very few disorganized soldiers left to fight?
2) Is EDF led by extremist OLF members or fake Amhara but Tigre EDF members in EDF working hand-in-hand with TPLF?
3) Have Abiy Ahmed & and Agegnehu Teshager agreed to give away Wollo to TPLF in exchange for Humera and Welqait of Gondar?
My take is: 2 &3

Why TPLF wanted Wollo so badly, while losing corridor in every direction? Is it
1) just boost its defeated images?
2) for a massing loots?
3) to broaden its base for future attack ( use it as buffer zone)
4) for administration purpose while it can administer Tigray?
5) to build pressure so as to get the chance to sit for negotiation?
6) to prove it the West it is still alive?

My take is: 1, 2 & 5

None of this would happen if Amhara militia had access to internet and communication like the juntas

Tplf is advancing in wollo because the government has anticipated what they're upto. Now it's crystal clear the US and EU are working to create a life line for tplf from the west. Tplf has no power to accomplish that on its own. Tplf is being provided with satellite images and running into territory that has no military significance. But they can use that for propoganda. It's not bad news though as the more tplf advances in wollo the easier it is to completely annihilate them. Because their army will be overstretched with no supply. Once surrounded surrendering will be their only option. Had they opened the corridor to Sudan things would get dangerous. They would prop them up just like they did with the taliban. But terrorist tplf are a bunch of cowards, they will not get that far.

I think your reasons holds some water. but,

- I know Lalibela city is not as big as its name. It is even hard to call it a town. And also the terrains in Bugna are very rugged, I don't know what TPLF will do there. However, the falling of this small town will make people victim to TPLF's genocide. Why is ENDF trading against the lives of Amhara people? I know the area there is no Tigre in Lalibela or Bugna - it is entirely Amhara.

- There has to be also a minimums amount of loss that should be endured or incurred for later strategic gain. But too much of it could be counter productive. ENDF, if it is willing to recover, will have to lose its soldier too. Too much of the area to recover, too much of the loss will bel. TPLF will have much time to study the terrain even recruit from the Amhara terrain and refuel its army, especially given Amhara people have bigger doubts about the evil Orommuma spirit and the fact that Wollo people felt betrayed by Ethiopian Defense Force and Amhara Region. The Wollo people themselves captured ENDF colonels founding guilty of being traitor. Once a person lost his/her integrity, it is difficult to recover it ( even impossible). Let's see what Abiy Ahmed will do in the next few days, any of the scenarios would come to light more visibly.
