Is it coincident that all best universities in Africa are in South Africa?

That’s sad indeed. Africa has to do fast catch up. Btw, your data is from 2019 and in 2021 ranking Addis Ababa University made it to the top 10 even though that’s not a big achievement for bigger countries like Ethiopia. We should have at least 3 Universities in the top 10. Currently no University in Ethiopia comes close to AAU especially when it comes to research paper publications. It’s a sad state.
