Old Song reinvigorated by current day happenings in the country

To cross the Gibe River to escape hard-ship and find a better place for life has been a long held popular believe and considered a place of dream, before fulfilling one's dream was equated with fleeing to America became fashionable. There was a place in Ethiopia that promised to fulfil the dream of current day America and that place was the area on the other side of Gibe River bank.
I am not sure if the people of those days might have foresaw that someone will rise from the other side of the Gibe River and come to the center to save Ethiopia, one day. And that one day is today, in which sense this music will be very much current hit in the country.
