The 2nd filling is an earth shaking milestone the impact of which is truly far reaching nationally, regionally and globally.

This event is going to change the national narrative from the tiresome and ugly Tigre violence to the core Ethiopia agenda - our industrial and ecological future.

Regionally, as we speak Ethiopia is possessing a massive economic, political and diplomatic leverage not only in the HoA and West Asia but the African continent.

Globally, this is literally the day the World Bank, IMF and US financial bullying was defeated. Ethiopia has shown all poor nations that they can rely on their own people, reject colonial dependence and grow and determine their fate as free and independent people. There is huge, huge message in the success of GERD and its related national blessings.

From today on, Ethiopia has become a force to be reckoned with.

Does anyone know where Sudan stands on any issue? They say all sorts of things and, next thing we know they contradict their own statements. The Ethiopian Gov't should actively work in paying back Sudan same way as it is doing to us. That way, they will probably understand the price of what it means to meddle in our affairs.

Our next national task must be to preserve our soil, to stop the erosion of soil into Abay tributaries and stop our soil from leaving Ethiopia - national tree planting, forestation, irrigation, terracing, and extraction of silt out of the Abay lake (the dam reservoir) etc. Now the debate over WATER has ended. The next debate will be over SOIL. Our most important negotiating tool, our soil which has fed Sudan and Egypt from the day the genesis must come to an end. If Egypt and Sudan must pay Ethiopia, it will not be for water but for our soil. The game has just begun!

When ENDF pulled out of Tigray, I admit, I was confused. I hoped the ENDF would squeeze out the TPLF’s last breath, and everybody be happy. Now, I am convinced, at least I convinced myself, there is more to the story than the New York Times, which turned out to be one of the twenty- first- century tabloid newspaper, told us to what have happened.
I do believe Abiy was convinced Egypt and TPLF have been working in harmony to destabilize Ethiopia. There has been ample evidence to support that hypothesis. The ENDF pulling out is reasonable to assume designed to face off Egypt if ill-advised Al sissi acts crazy. The president of Egypt finally seemed to have understood the new reality : Ethiopia is not lead by sectarian tribal leaders anymore. Ethiopia is lead by a new leader who is Ethiopian in every form and shape.
Now it is time to take care of the fifth columns.
