Eritrea- Ethiopia Peace: July 18th 2018- A day to remember! Mother and son, could not hold back their tears. After almost 20 years, he hugged his mom, held her tight and later on in an emotional display knelt and kissed her feet and his home ground.

Efrem Ghirmai who lives in Helsingborg, Sweden, will represent Eritrea at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 50m freestyle.
Ghirmai has dual citizenship and studies to become a sea captain, in Sweden. He had actually finished his elite bet, when he was told that Eritrea would participate in the World Cup in Gwangju (China) in 2019; where he participated. Now he is betting, on the 2020 Olympics.
It's a comeback,
he said
I have won medals at the youth-Swedish Championships, junior-SC's and senior-SC's before,
says Efrem Ghirmai to the swedish media.
I want to show the people in Eritrea, that the generation that is abroad thinks of them and wants to give them hope,
added the 23-year-old.
He swam 23.92 in 50m freestyle, and was clearly happy with it:
I have only done three times under 24 seconds before and did it now, on the first try. The goal is to get in shape to where I was before, and to represent Eritrea as best I can

Desiet Kidane (our 2nd female pro.) who rides for the WCC Team, clinched 3rd place today in a race in Switzerland.
