As far as I have followed ESAT, I don't think you Ethiopians have a better alternative, even the Ethiopian News Agency, although it may not be my business as a foreigner. So be patient, ESAT , I hope will perform much better. Let's wait until the dust settle down both in Eritrea & Ethiopian.

You can tell they received legal letter by the points being made sound like answers to demand listed in the letter.

Corrective actions taken
Now it's upto the family to let go or to assess if the apology addresses the extent of the damage. Also the people may settle for the no apology apology or go after the culprit for damages or teach lesson so this is not repeated. This is not the first time they had to apologize. Sad!

I cannot tell they got a “ legal letter.” I just heard the apology he made ; it is sincere. And time to move on.
In this social media time, when news, rumors , and gossips move in lightening speed , people make mistakes.
I do not watch ESAT. It is not because I dislike it. In fact, on rare cases that I watched it, I noticed the guys have tried to be professional. Yes, no doubt they hate ethnic politics, so do I.
I think Eden’s dislike of them seems to emanate from her loving of ethnic politics.
Otherwise compared to others the guys they seem to disseminate fair and balanced news and opinions.

I think we all missing the bigger picture. Since his mistake is not just attacking the Ambassador personally and professionally, he first needs to state his bigger mistake. He admitted he had implied any person of a certain ethnic background is at fault. This is why the mistake happens. Just putting all humans in one box is wrong. He didn't accept that mistake happen yet. He just made exception for one girl among all. This is the fundamental mistake. Even in this same show towards the end they conclude 95 percent of a certain elite is enemy of the country.
This is an ongoing issue and they will eventually shut down. Hate speech is not tolerable, legally speaking, in the USA.

What you fail to understand is that if TPLF has substantial support among Tigrian what ever coming down is justified. German people support for Nazi didn't make fascism right. In that case whatever Ethiopian did against Tigrian is justified means Tigrian are guilt till they are proven innocent. This is the flip side of your argument. Ethiopian are prudent wise for attempting to make a distinction

TPLF doesn’t necessarily have substantial support in Tigrai. So I will tell you why she is wrong and you are wrong. There’s a distinction you both fail to see. Support of people for political party is either directly deserved or undeserved. Tigrians generally believe TPLF sold out due to the leadership neglecting the common man in Tigray. This I believe is the reality.
To her and you, there appears to be substantial support for TPLF because these people feel like, based on the endless anti people propaganda from her, you and the likes, they prioritize and keep TPLF closer. Keeping TPLF closer is to keep existential threat posed by the feds and allies from becoming a reality.
This is what looks to you as substantial support but it really isn’t because the moment you stop targeting them, TPLF loses their support. They don’t have a choice for now, thanks to your stupidity, but TPLF to defend them from what they perceive as dangerous elements around them.
So you are practically helping out TPLF get substantial support because you target, as you did in the quote above, the entire folks/ elites. If you or her or the moron Prime Minister isolate TPLF from people, you would not lose like you are losing today. This is elementary stuff I’m saying here. Why you don’t see it is beyond me.
