As you know we are Somalis and we love taking risks.

We will send thousands of troops but there has to be something in it for us. We will negotiate.

Maybe Oromo are not interested but us Somalis wish to rule Ethiopia too.

We will rule Somalia, Djibouti and Ethiopia and use these to arm twist Kenya too.

Eritreans will eat good with us. With our grip on the Horn, all Eritrean children will go to bed without a worry in the world.

Amhara no animosity neither for Tigray. In fact, we are the key to healing. We can police the Horn and keep you all apart.

Most Oromo are our natural Cushitic and we have soft spot but if they don't do as we wish, we will not hesitate to eliminate them.

To Amhara we don't hold grudges. Whatever is committed under Menelik, Makonnen or Haile or Mengistu has nothing to do with Amhara civilians.

In modern times we should not be wrestling over religions either. God does not need a man to be his soldier.

God is powerful enough to make His Laws last eternity.

Therefore, we discuss politics. We share what we need to share but we are growing and we are going to flex soon or later.

Indeed, war on Tigray is good opportunity to promote Somali Generals, divisions within ENDF, and Gov portfolios.

No ethnic should have fear. We are fair just bit hot headed.

If our demands are met, we will climb Ras Dashen to see where Getachew Reda is hiding.

Amhara people don't deserve to be demonized. In their hour of need, we stand with the people of Amhara. Make no mistake. We hate injustice.

No kilil in Ethiopia, or any other federal state in the world, should have its own army, other than a local police force, in the first place.

No legal military force should exist in Ethiopia other than the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF), which can be stationed in any kilil.

I kind of agree with you, but let us say that you have a bad government most likely a dictatorship, where one single Ethnic group dominates and favors itself. The rest are treated like slaves. Power flows from top to bottom. Anyone who challenges it, is either killed or imprisoned the worst possible way. On the surface, often, sovereignty is used as a shield of the perpetrators. In that case with a single national defense force, that maims, kills and imprisons for any one who disagrees with it, is really a big problem. Welcome to the bantu land, Africa. In my book, the UN needs to develop some tooth. World order must come only through legitimated governments and periodic fair elections. Sovereignty should not be a defense to stupid governments. For this to happen, world order has to change. Eventually, it will.

In the (dictatorship) case that you've described, I'm of the opinion that anyone has the right to free themself at all costs including arming themself.
