If Abiy Expected This, Then I Say Kudos, He Is A Great Strategist

After I heard that Abiy ordered his forces out of Raya to the rag-tag Agame militia, I concluded that he was a loser. I may have been a bit hasty. We don't know the kind of pressure the US is putting on him. So it is possible that he did what he did knowing that the Amhara would be enraged, take matters in their hands, and do exactly what they are doing, kick that stinking Agame arse. Now there is nothing the USA Blinkens can do about it. It is like killing two birds with one stone. That is, if he expected and planned it that way.

They all took the bait & he almost fooled us all, too.
I barely understood the hasty withdrawal from Meqele, exposing those who cooperated with his govt to grave danger let alone from Raya, Alamata etc. And I was puzzled because just a few days before, he signed a military- cooperation agreement with Russia & that's not exactly a sign of weakness but kind of defiance. Expecting some kind of statement from the Eritrean govt, as you know, is unthinkable.
In a good way, that is.
Now, like you pointed out, he has permanently shut the arrogant commandeering mouths of Western officials & has turned them into pleading & urging mouths instead. Great play!!!
